At the end of a month filled with too much travel, and too little time with the kiddos, I am happy to report that Henry has mastered a new trick that makes him smile and clap with pride in himself. Folks, we have a crawler.
Now that he can get to the toys he wants, he has zero interest in smiling for a photo. And that's just fine with me. There's a great big world in the living room for him to discover.
While we celebrate Henry's steady progress, we cannot forget that this week has been incredibly tough for those of us who know and love our nephew,
Josh. His road, which was already long, is now interminably longer
before he will be well and home, and I wish we had that magic
button to push that would speed us forward through the additional months
of worry and waiting. We're thinking of him and his mom and dad constantly -- sending all the hugs we have.
